Alice Parkins

Alice Parkins is the founder of Ugly Hog Media, where she has spent the past three years dedicated to enhancing agricultural marketing and championing British food security. With deep roots in Hertfordshire’s farming community and a passion for connecting consumers with local produce, she’s on a mission to amplify the voices of farmers and promote sustainable practices across the industry.

Before launching Ugly Hog Media, Alice built her career across a dynamic range of roles—from the buzzing sales floors of garden centres to spearheading marketing campaigns for e-commerce brands and national events. She’s managed social media, handled event logistics (including at Goodwood Festival of Speed), updated websites, and kept operations running smoothly behind the scenes. In a nutshell: she brings the vision and the execution.

But there’s more to Alice than strategy and spreadsheets. She holds a BA in Photography from the London College of Communication and is a practicing artist, exploring themes of identity through visual storytelling. This unique blend of agricultural advocacy and artistic expression gives Alice a holistic lens—approaching every project with a deep sensitivity to both community and culture.

She’s also County Vice Chair for Hertfordshire Young Farmers, where she actively contributes to youth leadership and rural development.
